GenAI and 3D

Hi there

I am a seasoned professional looking to pivot my career towards working with AI and XR technologies. I am based in Cape Town, South Africa. You may find my LinkedIn page and resume here. Most recently, I was a guest lecturer on the Oxford Course: Generative AI for Creative Professionals.

Below you will find my work and experimentations with Generative AI and 3D immersion. Videos 2 and 3 may be of most interest to you.

For the past couple of months I have been experimenting with Gaussian Splatting, AI-generated creatures in addition to digital twins of my wooden-carved marionettes. My aim is to create an immersive world containing a collage of the above assets (a forest of trees, African-themed wearable avatars, 3D objects and Splats), with auditory narration built into sections of the world. The Memory Forest holds a secret, clues to which are strewn throughout the forest, if you know where to look. It is a seemingly tranquil open world that guests may explore and, if they wish, guest can try and solve the mystery that the forest contains.

Video 1, however, provides better context, so I advise you to watch both and chronologically. Video 3 showcases my continuing experimentation with GenAI and Augmented Reality.
